AquaSmart Welcomes Jared Blong

JUNE 18, 2020, MIDLAND, TEXAS – Lubbock, Texas-based AquaSmart Enterprises, LLC, a material sciences and manufacturing company, is thrilled to announce today that Jared Blong will be joining the organization as its President and Chief Operating Officer. 

Mr. Blong comes to AquaSmart having successfully led Octane Energy for the last 7 years as their President and CEO.  Octane is a leader in the Oil & Gas consulting space, helping client E&P companies create value through more than $27B in M&A activity and unlocking more than 2 billion barrels of reserves.  He also spearheaded the company toward two consecutive INC 5000 listings as the 5th and 4th fastest-growing private energy company in Texas, for 2017 and 2018 respectively, by fostering a people-driven culture of operational excellence.

Mr. Hendrickson continued, “with Mr. Blong’s battle-tested expertise in organizational development and in the energy space, he will greatly assist one of AquaSmart’s subsidiaries, AquaSmart Oil & Gas, which partnered with Rice Investment Group in 2019 around its revolutionary ProProp coated proppant technology.”

AquaSmart has developed over 30 material science patents in the Oil & Gas, Concrete, Agriculture, and Lawn & Garden industries, designed to significantly enhance performance of commodities like frac sand, fertilizer, agriculture seed, and concrete aggregate while enhancing and optimizing the use of the world’s precious resource of water.
